Fiolaro broccoli from Creazzo is a vegetable from the hills near Vicenza, part of Venetian tradition. Its name comes from "fioi", children in dialect: the many side shoots the plant produces.
It is harvested in winter, after the frosts, and mostly its tender leaves and shoots are eaten. Boiled with pasta or cooked in tomato sauce, it tastes sweet and delicate.
